        1991年获得上海交通大学电子工程学士学位, 1998年获得美国俄勒冈州立大学电子与计算机工程博士学位。自1995年开始致力于CMOS集成电路领域的研究,是世界上最早研究CMOS 射频集成电路技术的学者之一。共发表了约百篇国际学术论文,其中SCI收录期刊论文30篇,包括IEEE JSSC、IEEE TMTT、IEEE TCAS I,IEEE TCAS II等集成电路领域顶级期刊,以及高水平会议论文20篇,包括ISSCC、RFIC、ASSCC、ISCAS等顶级国际会议。作为第一作者,荣获国际集成电路设计领域最顶级的学术会议ISSCC论文大奖:Beatrice Winner Award。

        在美国高通公司(Qualcomm)作为项目负责人,领导研制成功了世界上首款CMOS CDMA 发射机芯片、单片收发机芯片以及SiP芯片(基带+射频),是高通公司的里程碑产品(QSC 6000 系列),在全球范围内被应用于超过三亿部移动电话之中。

        于2007年归国并加入上海交通大学,成立模拟射频集成电路中心实验室,主持国家重点研发项目1项,国家科技重大专项子课题7项、863 重点项目课题和863面上项目各1项、国家自然科学基金项目1项和省部级重点项目多项, 科研经费总额超过5000万元, 在高线性度抗干扰射频接收机、多模可重构无线互联芯片、超低功耗数模转换器、高速有线数据通信芯片等方向积累了大量成果,其中北斗卫星导航射频芯片的研究成果荣获2016年度上海市最高科技大奖”上海市科技进步特等奖”。

        自2007年起担任华为海思半导体的技术顾问, 深度参与3G/4G/5G 无线通信终端和基站射频芯片研发,与海思半导体合作的LTE射频芯片部分研发成果应用在我国第一款世界第二款LTE终端射频芯片,见证了海思射频芯片部门的整个发展历程,并于2017 年获得华为海思无线技术高校最佳合作奖。

        授权中国发明专利14 项和美国专利4 项。

        已培养硕士研究生131名,博士研究生10名。

 

Dr. Jianjun Zhou received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Oregon State University, USA, in 1998, respectively. Dr. Zhou has published about 100 peer-reviewed technical papers, including journal papers in IEEE JSSC, IEEE TMTT, IEEE TCAS I & II, and conference papers in IEEE ISSCC, RFIC, A-SSCC, ISCAS. He is the recipient of the prestigious ISSCC Beatrice Winner Award in 1998.

As the project lead while working at Qualcomm, Dr. Zhou led the efforts on developing the world’s first CMOS CDMA Tx IC, the world’s first CMOS CDMA Transceiver IC, and the world’s first CDMA SiP module (baseband + CMOS RF), each with a shipment exceeding 100 million units.

In 2007, Dr. Zhou became a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the director of Center for Analog/RF Integrated Circuits (CARFIC). He has received various major research grants, including 1 from the National Key Research and Development Program of China, 7 from the National Science and Technology Major Programs of China, 1 key grant and 1 general grant from the National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), and 1 general grant from the National NSF of China, with a total research grant exceeding 8 million US dollars. He was awarded the Shanghai Grand Prize for Progress in Science and Technology in 2016, for his contribution to IC design for Beidou/GPS Satellite Navigation System.

As a technical consultant at Huawei/Hisilicon since 2007, Dr. Zhou has been deeply involved with the development of 3G/4G/5G cellular phone and base-station RFICs, witnessing Hisilicon’s rapid growth from nobody to a dominant player in cellular IC business. He was awarded Huawei/Hisilicon Outstanding Collaboration in Wireless Technology in 2017.

Dr. Zhou has been granted 4 US patents and 14 Chinese patents in IC design.

Dr. Zhou has supervised 131 M.S. and 10 Ph.D. students.

Mixed-signal/analog/RF IC designs for wireless communications and high-speed wireline communications, including RF transceiver ICs, ADCs, frequency synthesizers, SerDes PHY ICs, mm-Wave communication and radar ICs.
