EDA/TCAD Teaching Laboratory

Basic Purposes:

• 1、To improve the students’ IC design ability by providing places for practice and experience that cover all kinds of IC design with the whole design flow and take full utilization of advanced EDA tools from various EDA companies.
• 2、To let the students understand the manufacture technology of the semiconductor devices and the characteristic of advanced fabrication through computer simulation by providing advanced semiconductor fabrication analyzing software.
• This laboratory can provide the teachers and students with EDA tools and places for course practice and experience in semiconductor fabrication analyze, and can hold large-scale innovation practice, IC design competitions, IC design training programs and seminars on semiconductor fabrication.

The main facilities and equipments in this lab include web servers, personal workstations, PCs, EDA tools for Synopsys University Program, semiconductor process simulation software for Silvaco University Program, IPs from different foundries such as ARM7TDMI, TSMC, SMIC, etc.
